We rebuilt the top of this house, redesigning the roof and fitting in additional master suite. The original stone pillars were dismantled while we poured a new foundation in their place. Afterwards we reasembled the pillars as a non-structural detail to keep the heritage accent of the home.

A fully redesigned kitchen with a brand new prep area. Period appropriate bead board pantry, wet-bar, a refreshments refrigerator and revived arborite table set make this work area also a great entertaining space as well. 

The details make the space. A dramatic insert above the stove reflects all colours of the kitchen. The farmhouse sink is seated below a restored fir window, retaining the original casing and keeping the historical six inch wide sill. 

Bright, warm and big with lots of work space. A chef's dream office.

Additional master bath to the upper floor gives both parties their own personal vanity and sink.

Stand alone shower with a built in seat, rain-head and a skylight keep the ensuite feeling open. A radiant-heated rack keeps a warm towel at arms length. 

Water-jet cut Mediterranean motif is precisely fitted and aligned with the skylight for a seamless look.

Municipality by-law's precluded skylight from being visible from the street. Solution: clerestory-style windows tucked under gable face the street. Small profile windows and recessed skylights on side roofs provide abundant natural light without compromising privacy.

An additional south-facing private balcony with a wet-bar was added for warm summer days.

Main living room with restored fireplace, fir wainscoting and faux pillars. All original details preserved to keep this home in it's proper era and feeling just right.
